Saturday. We've had so many Jap karaoke sessions I've lost count. xD

This one was disappointing for me because out of 5 songs I prepared, 2 were not on the catalogue :'( 「算数チャチャチャ」 and 「虹色ラブレター」 would have made such great songs DD:

If they were some day made into a book, I think it would sell
「想いを伝えたい人に贈りたい一冊！」なんて
"A book for people wishing to convey their yearning!"
And then the other 3 that I sang, I'd only prepared them on the day itself, so I found it hard to catch the melody too. Maybe I shall repeat the songs I sang in the past next time!

Hi there!

Sorry, i came across your blog regarding Cash Studio KTV.
I would like to ask if they have pretty updated English songs?
And are they real MTV?(Not those fake ones...)

Hello! :)

There are two systems. You can only switch from one system to another if everyone in the room agrees.
The Kbox system has real MTV (Gaga playing strip poker in Poker Face, etc) and is, I think, pretty updated, although I don't exactly know to when.
The Japanese system has BADLY FILMED fake MTVs and is updated to June 2009 with only the more popular songs. But you can sing the songs released later than June 2008 provided no other room is using the catalogue update. (There's a thin main catalogue and a thin catalogue update for the latest songs, but they keep running out of the latter.)

If you're looking for a fair selection of English songs with real MTVs, you'll probably be using the Kbox system. But then you might as well go to Kbox, which I believe is cheaper most of the time (but you should enquire on this). Moreover, for some reason that nobody knows, sometimes you select English songs through the Kbox system and the Japanese system MTV (i.e., BADLY FILMED and fake) appears. :)
